We know what it’s like to need more space for your family, a quiet place to work, or even a way to generate extra income.
We’ve been in your shoes, and we’re here to make your journey with adding an ADU simple, stress-free, and successful.
I bought my first home in Los Angeles in 2007 because it was zoned for two units. I was single, new to real estate, and saw an opportunity to build a second unit and generate rental income. But back then, ADUs weren’t even called ADUs—and the process was a mess. I couldn’t find anyone who really knew how to help, so I figured it out myself and built the unit from scratch. That project launched my career as a builder and real estate investor.
Over the next decade, I flipped homes, built new ones, and learned the ins and outs of planning and construction in LA. When California passed statewide ADU laws in 2017, I saw how many homeowners wanted to build but didn’t know where to begin. That’s why I started CALI ADU—to offer the kind of clear, expert guidance I wish I had when I was starting out.
At Young Trio Designs, we design high-quality ADUs, manage the permitting process, and stay involved through construction to make sure your project is built right—on time and at the agreed-upon price.
While we don’t swing hammers ourselves, we partner closely with a network of vetted builders and remain your point of contact from start to finish.
